Houston… We Have Movement!

Here we are, raw and unfiltered again. If the last three months have taught me anything it is about the immense power of the mind. When I first launched this website and started this blog, creativity flowed so effortlessly. Every evening was filled with ideas, epiphanies, dreams, and articulation that spewed so quickly onto my keyboard. It felt magical.

However, even that magical feeling has a limit. Because you see, it's easy to dream, and be creative, and articulate your visions when you can still SEE them. It's only when, the REAL hurdles become so common you don't have time to put one foot on the ground before the next one is here, that you realize the testing of those dreams. And as many of you know, navigating the complexities of starting a small business on a commercial property that hasn’t been zoned for years is not for the faint-hearted. Truly I cannot even express my respect for small business owners here.

The challenges we’ve faced have tested my limits and silenced my mind at times. Yet, we continue to push forward, one step at a time.

Because there IS a vision, and there are still dreams.

With the right team finally in place and schedules and deadlines starting to make sense, That Place Down The Street is well on its way to becoming a reality! We hope to have an anticipated opening month soon!
